Speech Language Pathologist
Jordan Ruiz, M.S. CCC-SLP
Jordan is the owner of Summit Pediatric Therapy and a Certified Speech Language Pathologist. She holds a Master's degree and certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as licensure for Speech-Language Pathology through the State of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Jordan received her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University and returned to her home state of Wisconsin to begin her career. Jordan was born and raised in the Milwaukee area and is proud to be serving the children in and around southeastern Wisconsin. Jordan has experience in various settings and has been working for the past 10 years for local school districts with children of all ages.
Jordan is trained to assess and treat a variety of communication disorders. Her passions include early intervention, play-based language, significant articulation or phonological delays, early literacy development, and social cognition. She regularly attends continuing education to further her knowledge in all areas of speech and language. She is also a social cognitive specialist and received a Social Thinking (R) Clinical Training Certificate of Attendance.
Jordan is passionate about developing a unique plan for each child and family she works with so that they can become confident, happy, and motivated communicators. She also enjoys helping parents be successful and knowledgeable communication "cheerleaders" for their children.
In her free time, Jordan loves bike riding, thrifting, traveling, exploring new restaurants and events in the area, and spending time with her husband and two children.
